"Hee,Hee,Hee,Hee,Ho"

I can officially go into labor now - we know how to breathe correctly! Okay, just kidding - this baby is still cooking!!!! Last night we attended our first of four baby preparation classes. To my amazement the class was really great and quite informative. There are 6 couples in the class and we're all about due at the same time. 4 out of the 6 women are having boys, 1 is having a girl and 1 doesn't know the gender. Everyone in the class is expecting their first baby and we're all in our middle to upper 20's. It was comforting to hear other expectant mothers going through the same sorts of things. Much of the class was spent communicating with our "coach" (that's Mitch of course!) and discussing what our ideal labor atmosphere would be, the proper breathing and focal point techniques, the physical and emotional changes we've gone through over the last 30+ weeks and questions and concerns we have about the labor process. We wrapped up the meeting learning beneficial massage techniques for both mom and coach - good deal for both!

Mitch is making plans to clear out the guest room furniture to make room for the new nursery - hooray! I'm excited to set-up the baby's nursery and get it all organized. Of course I've heard horror stories about putting together cribs, so we'll see how long it takes us (aka Mitch) to assemble the furniture! Our next doctor's appointment is next week....maybe they'll skip the part where I step on the scale - doubtful, but a girl can be hopeful!

Happy Thursday!

With each entry that I read I get more excited for you and Mitch. I'm so glad that you had a nice experience in the class. Good luck with the crib assembly. You will definitely need to supervise, because you are super-handy, and I don't know if Mitch is of not. :)
