What a festive weekend! The days were filled with lots of activities and by the end of Sunday night, Mitch and I found ourselves sitting in the baby's room just looking around at all the baby's new gear in complete exhaustion and amazement and talking about how we have such wonderful friends and families. Saturday the Ball State crew had a lovely baby shower for us and on Sunday I headed over to Richmond to attend a wonderful shower that Mitch's Mom hosted. It can get a little overwhelming to allow yourself to realize all the love and generosity that surrounds you. My Mom was able to spend the weekend with us as well and join me for the Richmond baby shower and it was really great spending time together.
Saturday evening my Mom and I did a little shopping and I was really bummed to realize how tired I got in such a short period of time - this probably means the annual Day After Thanksgiving Shopping will be avoided this year which really disappoints me. Of course, you never know - maybe we could hit at least 1 or 2 stores.....we'll see!
It's Monday and all I can think about is how I have got to begin organizing the baby's room! I'm going to force myself to concentrate at work today, but I can guarantee it won't be easy.
Happy Monday.

Hi Beck! I know it's been a minute since we had a chance to talk! At any rate, it looks like all's well with you, Mitch and baby. I'm so excited for you guys! I won't be able to make it on the 28th (nephew's bday), but Karen's bringing my gift! Talk to you soon! Michele.
