16 Week Check-up

Had our 16 week check up yesterday and everything seems just great! The baby's heartbeat was roaring at 156 bpm - pretty strong if I do say so myself! The doctor surprised us by telling us our ultrasound will be next month instead of in August like we had originally thought! So hopefully at the end of July we'll be able to find out if we're having a boy or girl! We asked the doctor if we'd definitely be able to tell and she said that as long as the baby cooperates we should be able to tell. I explained to Dr. Reeves that it's not that I want to know the gender, it's simply that I need to know! I'm a planner - what can I say! It's killing me not knowing now! Plus, it is garage sale season - so many great deals on cute clothes keep slipping through my fingers since I don't know what to buy yet! I think Dr. Reeves may find me a little nuts, but at least she humors us both and laughs at our jokes! Also, Dr. Reeves checked my back and refilled my back medicine prescription. It's still been bothering me a lot, but the medicine really helps.

I'm still waiting to feel the baby kicking - should happen in the next couple of weeks! :)

All in all, it was a great appointment and we couldn't be happier. Happy holiday weekend to you all! Drink a beer for me - okay, drink 2, but that's it!
