Our Little All-Star!

Charley just keeps on growing! He is now 4 lb. 10.4 oz. - we keep encouraging him to grow - thank goodness he finally listened to us at least once! The doctors need Charley to be free of any apnea "episodes" for 5 days before he can possibly be released to go home. Apparently there is an area in the brains of preemies that isn't quite completely matured which reminds babies to breathe - this is normally more matured by week 37 or 38. They are hoping he will be free of episodes in the next couple of weeks. Charley is more alert and we treasure our daily snuggle/kangaroo care sessions. He is now nursing 3 times a day and we're really proud of him because it wears him out. We continue to learn Charley's noises and his wants and needs. Basically he is just amazing! Okay, I'm a little biased, I know!

The Isaacs Family continues to be doing really great! We are anxious to get Charley home, but are grateful for the great staff at the hospital - they love their little patient Charley!

Oh look at him! He is amazing. (And so cute!) Those kangaroo/snuggle sessions are probably the highlight of his day, and they're going to help him so much with his weight gain and his breathing. Congratulations Mom and Dad!
